The transition to the National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) – the program that funds disability support for more than 4 million Australians – has required the development of worker capability within a nationally consistent framework.

The NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission is the independent agency committed to improving the quality and safety of NDIS supports and services. Its education activities are aimed at strengthening the skills and knowledge of NDIS workers in order to ensure safe and appropriate support for NDIS participants.

Two new eLearning modules — Supporting effective communication and Supporting safe and enjoyable meals — address the needs of a complex and growing workforce, and focus on known and emerging issues that impact the wellbeing and safety of people with disability.
